The "Brown Tone Tubby Cabinets" are constructed with hand picked 11 ply 3/4" Italian Poplar plywood for our bass cabinets and 4x12, 4x10 for guitar. For our 2x12, 1x12 and 2x10 for guitar we use 3/4" solid Pine. These grades only allow for very minor defects, not the large knots you see on boards from home centers and lumberyards. The baffle is Baltic Birch. We deal directly with an excellent mill. The construction is 1/4" finger joints using a type 2 PVA adhesive that is highly moisture resistant. The cabinet is vintage in design and utilizes a semi-open back that is a perfect match for the "Tone Tubby" speakers. These cabinets are hand made and are very harmonic. Our standard color cab is wraped in green vinyl with a gold grillcloth. Other color vinyl and grillcloth options are available.
